Class Description
Objectives: This program aims to prepare the student for challenging technical work and research in equal measure. The program is designed to give students a scientific understanding of different processes and techniques involved in textiles and thus ultimately to support the textile industry to take on in-house applied research and development in order to develop new processes and products, which will provide a competitive edge to the textile manufacturers at home and abroad.
If you have a love of fabrics, a passion to experiment, and a desire to explore multidisciplinary approaches to designer-making, then this is the course for you. Our new Textile Practices program cuts across a number of different textile disciplines, giving you a great introduction to a wide range of technologies and techniques for making textiles and generating your own ideas.
